‘Trennfilm’ (release film) is the brand name of Lehmann & Voss & Co. for modified nylon films produced by mf-folien.

Release films are mono-cast and co-extruded nylon films for the production of SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound), which is characterised by its very good tear resistance and barrier properties.

In SMC production, a resin-filler-fibreglass mixture is applied and rolled on between two films by wiping. After a maturing (thickening) time of about seven days, the film must be able to be cut easily and drawn off the compound. The SMC is then pressed into finished components (see photos).

• Trennfilm C    Newly-developed co-extruded PE/PA film
  
• Trennfilm S    Cast nylon film, highly tear-resistant
  
• Trennfilm F    Cast nylon film with very good separating effect
  
• Trennfilm P    Cast nylon film, highly tear-resistant with good separating effect
