| OPA films OPA films from mf-folien – Films for the perfect packaging. Even well-packaged foodstuffs can spoil over time. The main cause is the diffusion of oxygen through the packaging film. Due to its strength and good barrier properties, cast nylon film PA 6 is one of the preferred materials for the production of multi-layer packaging film. Thanks to its good barrier properties, this film acts as a barrier layer against oxygen in packaging films. For many types of packaging, an even better oxygen barrier is required, which allows the penetration of significantly less oxygen through to the foodstuffs than conventional cast nylon films. This can be achieved by the use of our biaxially-oriented polyamide film (OPA). Our OPA film has excellent properties for the most demanding applications, mainly in the field of foodstuffs packaging, but also for products in the non-food area. Thanks to its multi-layer construction, our co-extruded OPA film is tougher and more resistant to piercing than other mono-extruded OPA films available on the market.
